INQUIRE is run by a board, known as Council, assisted by four managers (who look after membership, administration, conference organisation and this website) and an Advisory Panel of senior industry figures. The member firms are known as Sponsors.

Although we encourage research and invite speakers from around the world, we have a particularly close relationship with our UK Business School Partners.

We maintain close ties with Inquire Europe and other Sister Organisations with a similar mission elsewhere.

Please click on each to learn more.

INQUIRE UK (the Institute for Quantitative Investment Research) is a not-for-profit organisation providing education and sponsoring research on quantitative investment. Membership is institutional, not personal, and includes traditional as well as quantitative firms. The benefits are available to anyone within the firm, both quants and other colleagues.

INQUIRE held its first seminar at Cambridge in 1988, and since then has held two or more seminars every year at which academics can present recent research to fellow academics and our practitioner members.

We have started a series of successful online webinars presented by our expert speakers in place of in-person events.

We actively encourage non-members to take this opportunity to experience the best of INQUIRE's events.

Please feel free to sign up and invite your colleagues to attend.

INQUIRE held its first seminar at Cambridge in 1988, and since then has encouraged and supported quantitative investrment research at business schools and universities in the UK, Europe and throughout the world, and welcomed papers and proposals from them wherever they are located.

Applications for a research grant may normally made by any academic of suitable status at any business school or university, without the restrictions associated with INQUIRE Research Scholarships. However for the time being, while the scholarships are being launched, no new applications are being accepted until further notice.

As and when new applications can be accepted, a call for proposals will be posted here. In the mean time, please contact our academic co-ordinator if you have any questions.
